Are you passionate about driving strategic outcomes and enhancing organisational performance? Join our Corporate Planning and Reporting team as a Strategy and Performance Specialist, where you’ll play a key role in aligning Council’s strategies with performance management practices to improve effectiveness and achieve business objectives.
This senior-level role is central to the delivery of Council’s Integrated Planning and Reporting (IP&R) responsibilities. You’ll work collaboratively across departments, build strong stakeholder relationships, and provide strategic advice and data analysis to support informed decision-making and continuous improvement.
What this exciting role will do:
Lead and implement Council’s strategic planning processes, including the development and monitoring of performance measures
Prepare and present monthly and quarterly reports aligned with Council’s IP&R documents and other strategic reporting requirements
Manage corporate performance measurement and benchmarking, offering data-driven insights and strategic recommendations
Oversee systems and structures that support the IP&R framework, including user engagement, training, and support
Foster collaboration across departments to improve integration and alignment of business planning and service delivery
Drive continuous improvement in planning and performance practices, resolving complex issues and promoting best practice

LET’S HEAR ABOUT YOU
You’re a strategic thinker with a passion for performance improvement and stakeholder engagement. You bring:
A bachelor’s degree in business, business administration, or a related discipline, or extensive experience in a similar role
Proven experience in developing and producing corporate documents and reports for diverse audiences
Strong oral communication skills, including presentation, negotiation, and facilitation
High-level written communication skills, with the ability to prepare reports for internal and external stakeholders, including elected officials
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain networks across all levels of the organisation
A proactive approach to advising and supporting staff, with a clear understanding of strategic goals and organisational priorities
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop innovative solutions
Exceptional organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities while meeting deadlines

This position provides:
Competitive salary from $101,090 to $117,483 per year + 12% superannuation
Commencing salary set in line with skills and experience with annual reviews available to support movement through the salary range
Enterprise Agreement pay increases apply
35 hour working week with ability to work over 4 days
