The Opportunity
The Manager, Information Security, is responsible for leading the strategic Information Security function in VicGrid. This includes understanding and tracking business & IT risks, and respond by establishing enterprise information security policies, frameworks and protection strategies across VicGrid. This role will be responsible for coordinating with functional leads, enterprise risk lead, legal and Tech & Data stakeholders.

What you will deliver

• Be an agent for change, promoting the necessary cultural shift in information security awareness and responsibility and ways of working across VicGrid.
• Provide leadership and oversight in the strategic planning, assessment and execution of GRC and cyber security strategies, policies, procedures and guiding practices to be implemented within VicGrid.
• Establish and maintain a comprehensive VicGrid wide information security program to ensure that all information assets are adequately protected against current/future internal/external threats.

What you will bring

• Demonstrated experience and success in senior roles in risk management, information security, and Information Technology or Operational Technology security environments.
• Knowledge of common information security management frameworks, such as ISO/IEC 27001, ITIL, COBIT as well as those from NIST, including 800-53 and Cybersecurity Framework. Experience with / knowledge of industry specific frameworks like SOCI and AESCSF.
• Tertiary qualification in technology or relevant discipline and/or extensive relevant experience in a similar role.
