Role description
The organisation
NSW Treasury is the NSW Government’s principal whole-of-government financial and economic adviser.
Treasury provides advice to inform budget decision-making; manages the State’s principal financial assets and liabilities; identifies opportunities for economic reform; monitors and forecasts economic indicators and state revenues; and advises on performance and financial management policies.
The team and purpose of the role
The Transport, Planning and Investment Division sits within the Policy & Budget Group and leads Treasury’s engagement with agencies across transport, planning, regional development, arts, tourism, hospitality, and sport.
The Executive Director - Transport, Planning and Investment provides strategic leadership and direction to deliver high-quality fiscal and policy advice, drive reform, and ensure sound financial management across these sectors. This role is central to delivering the Government’s priorities and shaping investment decisions that impact the future of NSW.
