MEDICAL SECRETARY

Specialist Medical Practice

Part-time, two to three days per week, occasionally weekends.

We are located in Parramatta CBD and we are looking for a Permanent Part Time Secretary. A minimum of one year customer service or administration background required. Previous experience in a medical practice is an advantage, but not necessary. Training will be provided. Send your resume and letters of reference to [email protected].

Key responsibilities include:

- Answering inquiries from patients and making appointments
- Invoicing, accepting and processing payments
- Liaising with hospitals, insurance companies and solicitors
- Providing general assistance to support the doctor and allied health team
- General administration and office duties
- Managing confidential patient data and correspondence
- Typing correspondence, faxing, filing and emailing

The successful candidate will have:

- Past experience as a medical administrative assistant in fast-paced medical practice desirable
- Ability to multitask while prioritising duties
- Fantastic communication skills
- Exceptional phone manner
- Excellent attention to detail
- An approach that is patient focused, friendly and efficient
