Are you an experienced Human Resources advisor ready for your next challenge?

Join City of Moreton Bay’s People and Capability team and help support our diverse workforce in delivering services that shape and enhance our communities - today and into the future.

In this role, you’ll partner closely with our operational teams, providing proactive and responsive coaching and advice to team members and leaders on all people-related matters.

You will lead workplace investigations and performance management processes to resolve complex issues, and provide high-level advice on industrial relations, performance management, and other related areas. You’ll also:

  • Develop effective business partnerships with key stakeholders and collaborate with department leaders to understand their needs, identify trends, and develop strategies to meet long-term operational goals.
  • Coach and advise leaders on people and capability initiatives to build strong leadership within their teams.
  • Address disciplinary issues and staffing complaints promptly and impartially, escalating to senior management when appropriate.
  • Guide and influence organisational design strategies, including change management, restructuring, redeployment, and workforce planning.
  • Mentor the People and Capability Officer to deliver day-to-day support and coaching for employees and leaders.
  • Provide insights on organisational culture and leadership development trends to inform future initiatives.

About you

We’re looking for a HR generalist with experience in ER/IR matters and Enterprise Agreements, who is passionate about driving cultural change in a growing organisation.

You’re a confident communicator who can quickly establish yourself as a trusted advisor to leadership.

With a strategic mindset and strong business acumen, you understand the key drivers of organisational success and can influence change and workforce planning effectively.

Your analytical, research, and problem-solving skills enable you to independently manage complex workforce issues and investigations, identify emerging challenges, and develop actionable recommendations.
