Sales Manager – Energy Sector

About the Company:
Our client, a leading ASX-listed energy consulting firm, is a market leader in the energy sector with over 7,000 clients across a range of industries. They are a growing national energy solutions provider with core capabilities spanning Energy Buying, Energy Management, and Emissions Reporting.

About the role:
As an experienced and inspirational Sales Manager you will lead the New Client Acquisition team. You will take charge of coaching a high-performing outbound sales force focused on driving new business growth across mid-market and enterprise clients. You will also be data driven and skilled at making strategic sales decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales Leadership & Coaching

Recruit, coach, and mentor Business Development Consultants

Drive performance through structured planning, daily stand-ups, and weekly 1:1 reviews

Build sales capability with ongoing training and tailored growth plans

New-Business Generation & Pipeline Management

Partner with Marketing to optimise lead volume and funnel conversion

Guide prospects from lead to close with a solution-selling approach

Monitor and manage pipeline through HubSpot with data-driven insights

Develop and nurture long-term opportunities through strategic engagement

Culture & People Development

Foster a collaborative, high-energy, target-driven team culture

Model values-based leadership and recognise outstanding performance

Reporting & Forecasting

Report on KPIs including revenue, pipeline coverage, and sales activities

Use data to forecast performance and inform leadership strategy

About You:

Minimum 10 years’ experience in new business acquisition sales, with 5+ years in team leadership

Background in energy retail or broking preferred

Proven track record in exceeding multimillion-dollar sales targets

Strong expertise in CRM platforms (ideally HubSpot) and outbound sales strategies
