BIH is seeking an experienced on site WHS Officer operating from our Bowen Office.

Roles and Responsibilities include, inspections and assessments of on site operations, onsite reporting, proactive adherence to Quality and Safety procedures, ensuring permit compliance by all employees daily, maintain and enforce zero tolerance to any health and safety breaches.

A minimum of 3 years experience in the mining/building and construction industry, must be able to work independently and as part of an on site team, strong communication skills.

This position is for shutdowns only, starting 29th July to the 21st August 2025, then on an as needed basis, with the possibility of a fulltime position in the future.

Position is subject to drug and alcohol screening, remuneration negotiable, vehicle supplied, Accommodation and meals supplied, return flights if required.
