About the Role
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Clinical Nurse to take on the pivotal role of Structural Heart Nurse Co-Ordinator within the Cardiovascular Investigation Unit. This position is integral to the multidisciplinary Cardiology/Structural Heart team, working collaboratively to ensure timely, patient-centred care for individuals undergoing cardiac investigative and interventional procedures. You will play a key role in coordinating care across multiple disciplines and stakeholders, supporting patients with Structural Heart disease throughout their treatment journey.
As a Clinical Nurse, you will be primarily focused on clinical care, while also contributing to team development and service improvement through an assigned portfolio. You’ll be supported in growing your capability from competent to proficient practice, with ongoing opportunities for professional development. This role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact in a high-performing environment while helping shape the future of cardiac care within the Heart and Lung Program.
About You
You are a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse with a passion for delivering high-quality, patient-centred care. You thrive in fast-paced clinical settings, take initiative, and enjoy leading and mentoring others while working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
Registered and Experienced – Registered or eligible for registration with the Nursing Board of Australia, with at least 3 years of post-registration experience and proven clinical competence.
Strong Clinical and Leadership Skills – Demonstrated ability to lead, support and guide students and less experienced staff while delivering care in line with contemporary nursing standards.
Effective Communicator and Problem Solver – Skilled in communication, negotiation, conflict resolution and prioritisation, with the ability to work independently under pressure.
Knowledgeable and Quality-Focused – Sound understanding of healthcare legislation, professional standards, and quality improvement systems relevant to modern nursing practice.
