Eyecare Plus Wallsend is an independent, community-focused optometry clinic committed to providing outstanding clinical care and personalised service. Our team offers full-scope eye care including ocular health, children’s vision, contact lenses, and therapeutic eye disease management.

We’re now looking for a full-time Clinic Manager to lead our front-of-house team and help shape the future of our practice. Whether you’re an experienced Optical Dispenser or a strong Retail Manager ready to step into healthcare, we’d love to hear from you.

About the Role:
This is a full-time leadership position responsible for overseeing daily clinic operations, team management, and the overall patient experience. You’ll be the driving force behind our welcoming environment and smooth day-to-day function.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee reception and dispensing operations, including staff rostering and inventory

Manage and support a small, friendly front-of-house team

Dispense and fit eyewear (training provided if you're from retail)

Coordinate with optometrists to support clinical flow and patient care

Maintain stock levels, liaise with suppliers, and support frame buying

Champion exceptional customer service and practice presentation

Assist with recall and marketing initiatives

Who You Are:
You may be:

An experienced Optical Dispenser with leadership experience
OR

A proven Retail Manager or Assistant Manager (fashion, pharmacy, or health-related preferred) looking to learn and grow into optical dispensing (full training provided)

You’ll also bring:

A warm, confident, and people-first approach

Strong organisational and leadership skills

A professional and polished communication style

The ability to manage competing priorities with calm efficiency

Proficiency with digital systems and a willingness to learn Sunix software

A genuine interest in eye health and helping people

What We Offer:

Competitive salary ($65,000 – $80,000+ based on experience)

Monday to Friday – no weekends!
