Position:
Full-Time Restaurant Waitperson Supervisor
Location:
Cairns, Queensland
Key Responsibilities:
Greet and seat guests in a warm and professional manner
Take accurate food and beverage orders and ensure timely service
Deliver a high standard of customer service throughout the dining experience
Assist with setting and clearing tables
Handle payments and use POS systems
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the dining area
Support other team members and follow restaurant policies and procedures
Requirements:
Previous experience as a waitress or in a customer-facing hospitality role
Minimum 1 - 2 years experience
Hospitality Certificate Holder preferred
Friendly and professional demeanour
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays
Commitment to delivering outstanding service
Position:
Full-Time Chef
Location:
Cairns, Queensland
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook dishes in line with Yaya’s Mediterranean-inspired menu
Maintain consistency, quality, and presentation of food at all times
Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure smooth service
Manage kitchen cleanliness, organisation, and food hygiene standards
Assist with stock control, ordering, and inventory management
Follow all food safety guidelines and workplace health & safety policies
Contribute ideas for menu development and daily specials
Requirements:
Previous experience working as a Chef or Cook in a busy kitchen
Minimum 2 years experience in a similar role
Formal culinary qualifications preferred (Cert IV in Kitchen Management or equivalent)
Passion for Greek/Mediterranean cuisine
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high standards
Ability to work efficiently under pressure and manage multiple tasks
Availability to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays
A positive attitude and team-oriented mindset
