Position Overview
We are currently seeking a full-time Cook to join our passionate team in Benalla. You will be responsible for preparing healthy, balanced meals and snacks that cater to children’s dietary needs and comply with all relevant health and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and cook nutritious, age-appropriate meals and snacks for children aged 0–5.

Plan weekly menus in line with dietary guidelines, allergies, and special dietary requirements.

Ensure meals meet food safety, hygiene, and nutritional standards, including HACCP compliance.

Maintain a clean and well-organised kitchen environment.

Order, receive, and manage inventory of fresh food and kitchen supplies.

Work closely with educators to align meals with centre activities and children's routines.

Communicate with families about dietary needs, menu changes, and food-related updates.

What We’re Looking For

Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent)

Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role, ideally within a childcare, school, or aged care setting.

Sound knowledge of children’s nutrition, food allergies, and special dietary requirements.

Understanding of safe food handling practices and hygiene regulations.

Current Working with Children Check (or willing to obtain)

Ability to work independently and manage kitchen operations efficiently.

Passion for preparing wholesome meals and contributing to a child-focused environment.

Salary:

$70,000 – $90,000 per annum + super (commensurate with experience and qualifications)
