About Us
Accessible Diversity Services Initiative (ADSI) is a not-for-profit, community-based organisation committed to supporting culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) communities across Western Sydney. We provide a wide range of services including aged care, NDIS, settlement, family support, and community development programs.
With strong roots in the community and a reputation for excellence, we are seeking an experienced Finance Manager to lead our financial operations and ensure the sustainability of our mission-driven work.
About the Role
The Finance Manager is a key leadership position responsible for overseeing ADSI’s financial systems, reporting, compliance, and strategic budgeting. This role supports decision-making across the organisation and plays a crucial role in the delivery of high-quality services to vulnerable and diverse communities.
Key Responsibilities
Lead all aspects of financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, payroll, and reconciliations.
Prepare accurate and timely financial reports for management, the Board, and external stakeholders.
Ensure compliance with all regulatory and funding body requirements
Manage annual audits, financial risk assessments, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Provide strategic financial advice to the CEO and executive team.
Oversee financial acquittals and reporting for multiple government-funded programs and grants.
Supervise and mentor finance staff and contribute to a collaborative organisational culture.
Essential Criteria
Degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline.
CPA or CA qualification (or progress toward completion).
Minimum 5 years of experience in financial management, ideally in the not-for-profit or community services sector.
Demonstrated understanding of Australian accounting standards, financial compliance, and reporting obligations.
Experience managing audits, grant acquittals, and multi-stream budgets.
Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to engage culturally diverse stakeholders.
High level of integrity, initiative, and commitment to social justice.
Desirable
Familiarity with NDIS, aged care, and settlement funding frameworks.
Familiarity with the SCHADS award
Experience with Xero, ApprovalMax, Alayacare and other similar systems.
Knowledge of CALD community issues and service delivery environments.
