We have an exciting opportunity for a permanent, full-time Carpenter - Construction Supervisor to join us as part of our Construction Team working mostly in the Central Coast & Hunter Valley area, however occasional overnight work away from home across NSW may be required.
This role will involve (but is not limited to):
Work closely and be supported by our Construction Manager and Project Manager
Supervise tradespersons and apprentices and assist with on-the-job training.
Scheduling of trades and material deliveries.
Ordering of materials.
Understand and apply quality control techniques to works and materials.
Building surrounds, decks, landings, ramps, steps, carports, and garages attached to modular homes
General carpentry work associated with internal fix out, external completion and complexing modular homes together.
Maintenance and warranty work on completed homes.
You will have:
Effective interpersonal skills with ability to effectively liaise with suppliers and contractors to build and maintain strong working relationships.
Ability to work effectively autonomously and as part of a high-performing team.
Excellent communication skills.
Excellent time management with the ability to prioritise competing tasks.
A high level of attention to detail.
Ability to identify and problem solve issues in a timely matter.
The successful candidate will:
Possess a current OHS White Card
Be a permanent resident of Australia
Trade qualified with relevant practical experience
Ability to read technical documents and drawings
An eye for detail and the ability to work at a low margin of error
NSW unrestricted driver’s license with satisfactory driving record
