Bank First
Posted 9 days ago
Bank First was born by making a BOLD move. Now, we're on a mission to make more BOLD moves as we transform and grow.
We are proud to provide our community of educators and healthcare workers with a bank that puts them first, because they put others first. We're committed to building a unique bank. One that’s different, sustainable, and centred around our Members.
Join us in breaking the mould and shaping the future of banking. We’re looking for innovative and creative minds that are ready to make a real impact at a place where you can truly be yourself.
So, what’s the role?
We’re looking for a highly capable and agile-minded Delivery Iteration Manager to join our Transformation team. In this critical role, you’ll drive the successful delivery of projects by embedding Agile ways of working within our cross-functional teams (squads) and enabling them to deliver high-quality banking solutions more effectively.
You’ll be the engine that helps squads stay on track: facilitating Agile ceremonies, removing roadblocks, supporting the product owners in backlog prioritisation, and keeping stakeholders aligned and informed. You’ll also play a key role in nurturing a strong delivery culture, one that is collaborative, accountable, and continuously improving.
This is a hands-on, people-centred role where you'll work closely with a range of teams including product owners, technology, and governance, helping to shape how Agile delivery is lived and breathed at Bank First. If you thrive in fast-paced environments, enjoy leading from the middle, and have a knack for bringing structure, momentum, and focus to delivery. This is your opportunity to make an impact.
This is a 12 month Fixed Term Contract role with a view to permanency.
In a typical day, you’ll get to:
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives to keep delivery moving forward.
- Collaborate with product owners to shape and prioritise backlogs, define sprint goals, and align on delivery success metrics.
- Track team performance and sprint progress, identifying risks and resolving blockers to help teams meet delivery timelines.
- Act as a liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders to ensure delivery stays aligned to Member and business outcomes.
- Lead continuous improvement efforts by promoting Agile principles, gathering feedback, and evolving processes.
- Maintain documentation and reporting to support transparency and decision-making across key stakeholders.
- Support squads with resource planning and capacity management, ensuring they have what they need to succeed.
About you
- Experience as a Scrum Master, Iteration Manager, or Agile Delivery Lead – preferably in a banking or financial services environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Agile certifications such as Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP).
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in dynamic, highly regulated environments.
- Strong knowledge of Agile practices including Scrum, Kanban, and Lean.
- Confident using tools like JIRA, Trello, or similar to track delivery and report progress.
- A natural facilitator and coach – you bring out the best in teams and help them own their delivery.
- You’re adaptable, solutions-focused, and always looking for ways to improve how things are done.
Why join us?
- For purpose, a bank committed to helping its Members and their community.
- Impactful work that will genuinely make a difference to the lives of our Members!
- Work with values-driven leaders, who actively develop talent and support you to grow your career in an environment that empowers you to Be Bold. Be Different. Be Sustainable. Be YOU!
- Work-life balance and flexibility, so you can work in a way that best suits you and supports your commitments outside of work. Family friendly parental leave, and paid superannuation up to 52 weeks.
- Hybrid working from our state-of-the-art offices to connect and collaborate, as well as focused time at home.
- Competitive remuneration with an additional one week ‘Be You’ leave, ‘Be Well’ wellbeing benefit, #BFF Club home loan offer and free onsite parking!
