The department provides a wide range of learning and development support and services.

The department provides policy leadership, plans for the future of education in Victoria and leads key cross-sector collaboration. The department plays an important system steward role by providing support, guidance, oversight and assurance across early childhood and school education systems, as well as directly providing school education and 50 new early learning centres.

About the Division

The Senior Secondary Pathways Reform Taskforce (SSPRT) is delivering major reform to senior secondary students in all Victorian Government Schools. As part of this reform, the department is investing heavily in technology to support students and staff and reduce administrative burden in schools. SSPRT is committed to ensuring school and regional staff have both the tools and skills to deliver the reform.

About the Role

The Department is seeking a Change Management Lead to support the implementation of technology-enabled reforms in Victorian government schools. This is an exciting opportunity to lead change planning, stakeholder engagement and adoption strategies to ensure the successful rollout of new platform applications as part of the Senior Secondary Pathways Reform Taskforce. We are looking for 4 experienced change professionals with excellent people skills, a structured approach to change management, and a commitment to supporting schools through technology-enabled transformation. This is a fixed term position until 12 June 2026

Attributes

The role requires a breadth of skills, particularly in stakeholder engagement, relationship building, and effective communication. This is a change-focused role that supports both internal corporate staff and school staff to navigate technology-enabled reforms, working in partnership with the department's IT division and program teams to ensure the effective adoption of the platform. The ability to clearly communicate, engage, and build trust with a wide range of stakeholders is essential to support change and enable a smooth transition to new processes in schools.

Desirable Qualifications and Experience

Bachelor degree or equivalent work experience in technical/business support or change management
