We primarily service NDIS participants, offering in-home and community-based support.

As part of our small team you are given direct support, no longer one of the many.
Responsibilities
You will be providing Support Work and Peer Mentor services. You’ll play a crucial role in providing high-quality support to enhance your participants' quality of life and maximise their choice and control. Your responsibilities will include:
Tailored support for participants, on an individual and group basis.
Assistance with personal care. Direct assistance, mentoring and guidance to complete daily tasks and engage in chosen activities.
Showcasing your initiative to creatively support participants in pursuing their goals and areas of interest.
Being a key player in the participant’s therapeutic care team, including contributing to meetings, corresponding with team members and completing designated tasks.
Depending on the employee's skills and preferences, participants may require behavioural management support under the guidance of the therapy team and senior staff at Phoenix Ability.
As an employee of Phoenix Ability, you are required to work collaboratively with all Phoenix Ability team members to develop opportunities for our participants. You must attend and contribute to in-house team meetings, scheduled workshops and training opportunities.

Essential qualifications and attributes
Current Police Check, and Working with Children's Check.
A current First Aid Certificate and CPR certification.
A valid Australian driver’s licence and a reliable comprehensively insured car.
Two current/recent work-related references.
Preferred but not essential:
NDIS Workers check.
Certificate III in Individual Support, Disability, or a related field.
Industry experience.
Encouraged to apply, teaching, allied health, medical and nursing students.
