About the role

Join the team at DSG Manufacturing as a full-time Boilermaker for workshop and onsite fabrication. As a key member of our Trades & Services team, you will be responsible for the fabrication, installation, and maintenance of various metal structures and components, playing a vital role in the success of our manufacturing operations.

What you'll be doing

Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to fabricate, install, and maintain a wide range of metal products

Operate cutting, welding, and metal forming equipment to precisely cut, shape, and join metal components

Perform complex welding tasks, including MIG, TIG, and stick welding, to the highest quality standards

Carry out regular maintenance and inspections on equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot issues and implement process improvements

Maintain accurate records and documentation related to your work

Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures

What we're looking for

Formal qualification in Boilermaking or a related trade, such as a Certificate III in Engineering - Fabrication Trade

Food industry experience with pipe work and food grade tube work, Cert VII pressure ticket highly desirable

Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and schematics

Excellent welding skills, including MIG, TIG, and stick welding techniques

Ability to operate a range of metal fabrication equipment, such as plasma cutters, press brakes, and rolling machines

Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills to troubleshoot and resolve issues

Commitment to safety and a willingness to follow all established procedures

Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
