Boilermaker – Leading Hand

• Location: Rutherford, NSW
• Salary: $39.91 per hour (inclusive of allowances) + 12% Super + Company Benefits
• Work Type: Permanent full-time, Monday-Thursday roster with opportunity to work overtime when required

About the Role:

We’re seeking an experienced Boilermaker with Leading Hand experience to join our team based in Rutherford.

Key duties will include:

• Fabricating steel components
• Repair and refurbish building frames
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
• Leading and coordinating the team of fabricators
• Coaching and mentoring including apprentice/less experienced Boilermakers
• Completing paperwork in a timely and accurate manner
• Ensuring basic quality control and assurance

About You:

• Trade qualified Boilermaker (Cert III Engineering Fabrication or equivalent)
• 3+ years’ experience working as a qualified Boilermaker
• Previous experience or demonstrated ability to lead, mentor and coach a team
• Experienced in reading, following and interpreting design drawings & instructions
• Experience with grinders, mag drills and oxy cutting
• Forklift and/or High-Risk Work license advantageous but not essential
• Strong safety focus
• GMAW welding experience (will be required to pass a weld test to AS/NZA 1554.7:2014 standards)
