Our client is a global supplier of underground mining equipment offering innovative overhauls & site support in the underground mining sector working with various OEMs and serving numerous mines across Australia & Overseas

Due to a continued success and growth in business our client is expanding its management team and now requiring a 2 Project Managers with an expertise in underground softrock mining equipment (Longwall and Development) as well as a proven background in a fast paced workshop environment.

Currently locating on the outskirts of Mudgee, this role will require a highly motivated professional who can lead, priorities and plan this role to success.

Reporting into the General Manager, your key challenges will be to maintain orderly and timely planning of labour and materials for the supply and service underground equipment, along with repairs and overhauls.

Your day will include the following;

• Plan: Create detailed Project Execution Plans, manage risks, and optimize designs.
• Facilitate: Act as the primary client contact, ensure contract compliance, and drive quality outcomes.
• Control & Report: Track budgets, costs, and schedules while ensuring accurate invoicing.
• Close-Out: Complete timely reviews, secure certificates, and archive documentation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and drive process improvements for better project outcomes.

To succeed in this position you will have:

• 5+ years experience managing projects overhauling and maintaining Longwall and Development mining equipment
• Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Project Management, or a related discipline
• Strong understanding of project lifecycle governance and stakeholder engagement
• Skilled in MS Project, Excel, SharePoint, and SAP (or equivalent ERP systems)
• Excellent organisational, planning, and communication skills
• A collaborative mindset with the ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
• Commercial acumen and focus on cost-effective outcomes
• Demonstrated commitment to safety, compliance, and quality
