Onsite Quarry Boilermaker / Fitter Required

Our family owned and operated company offers a general maintenance, breakdown and shutdown service for various Quarries mainly located within the SE QLD area.
We currently have a permanent fulltime opportunity for an experienced quarry fixed plant Tradesperson able to undertake fixed plant maintenance at a Petrie Quarry. We are looking for someone who:

Has quarry experience including crusher, screening and conveyor repairs

Is safety conscious and can follow all site safety requirements

Is self-motivated and takes pride in their work

Works well on their own as well as in a busy team environment.

Enjoys site work and has a can-do attitude

Wants a fulltime position with regular overtime, including some Saturday work.

As a minimum we require someone with

Trade Qualification

General construction induction (Blue card or White card)

Current manual driver's licence.

Must be willing to undertake a Respiratory Health Surveillance Medical as required for all QLD Mineral Mine and Quarry workers from 01/09/2022. This periodic requirement is to identify any changes in lung function.

Mechanical experience would be preferred

HRW licence for Forklift, EWP, confined space and working at heights would be preferred

This position will require you to:

Conduct day to day general plant maintenance as required or directed

Inspection and maintenance of crushers, conveyors, screens and chutes

Communicate with site maintenance supervisor regarding plant requirements

Remuneration, including use of onsite vehicle and tooling, will be negotiated with the successful applicants, based on experience and qualifications.
