Full Time Shift Position working a rotational shift pattern.

Inalco Processing is coming to the Hunter region, having over 20 years' experience in safely providing services with its world leading specialist aluminium technology, recognised as a world benchmark for recoveries with zero landfill, our facility is situated on an aluminium smelter site.

We are seeking suitably experienced skilled furnace operators who have previous experience in processing or heavy manufacturing operations, with a basic knowledge of mechanical equipment.

You will need to demonstrate a high level / focus towards safety and be able to work on your own as well as with others.

This is a “hands on” position where you will be required to operate heavy machinery associated with smelting and milling practices within the aluminium sector. This also includes safely operating forklifts of various capacities and other equipment.

Shortlisted applicants must pass a mandatory site medical which includes a lung function, drug and alcohol testing.

Responsibilities

• Operating furnace, screening and milling equipment.
• Provide day to day hands on support to the plant and equipment.
• Comply with all aspects of the operating safety systems.
• Physically able to undertake tasks requiring manual handling.

Required Skills, Competency and Experience

• Furnace experience would be highly regarded.
• Experience operating a forklift highly desirable.
• Driving and operating articulated vehicles is an advantage.
• Attention to detail and working within strict HSE parameters.
• Work in a team environment and also demonstrate initiative to take on responsibility and work unsupervised.
• Working with molten metal is an advantage.
• Highly aware of safety requirements within high-risk environments.
• Reliable with an exceptional work ethic.

The position is based on working a 12-hour rotational shift pattern.
