About the Role:
We are seeking a motivated Sous Chef who will work closely with the Head Chef to ensure smooth day-to-day kitchen operations. You’ll bring creativity, efficiency, and strong leadership to the table — helping drive consistency, quality, and team morale during busy service periods.

Key Responsibilities:

Support the Head Chef in planning and executing daily service

Oversee kitchen operations in the Head Chef’s absence

Lead and mentor kitchen staff, ensuring high standards of food prep and hygiene

Contribute to menu development, specials, and seasonal offerings

Manage stock levels, ordering, and supplier coordination

Maintain a clean and compliant kitchen in line with WHS and food safety standards

What We're Looking For:

Proven experience as a Sous Chef or strong CDP ready to step up

Passion for pub food and modern Australian cuisine

Strong organisational and leadership skills

Knowledge of HACCP, WHS, and food handling practices

Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and public holidays

Trade qualifications in commercial cookery preferred
