The Opportunity

We are seeking a part-time Station Manager to lead our small but passionate team. You will oversee day-to-day station operations, drive content strategy, support staff and volunteers, and ensure compliance with technical and licensing standards. This is a hands-on role perfect for someone who lives and breathes community media and wants to uplift Indigenous voices.

Your Key Responsibilities Will Include:

* Managing daily operations and broadcast quality

* Supervising and mentoring staff and volunteers

* Developing culturally relevant programming schedules

* Handling budgeting, funding/grant applications, and sponsorships

* Engaging with community stakeholders and promoting station initiatives

* Leading strategic planning and technical oversight

* Representing 4K1G at community events and board meetings

We’re Looking For Someone Who:

* Has previous experience in radio or media but not essential. Training and support provided.

* Understands Indigenous culture, values, and community needs

* Is a natural leader with strong organisational and people skills

* Can write funding submissions and manage budgets

* Is passionate about community media and storytelling
