About the Role

As the Arts & Gallery Officer, you'll be responsible for curating and delivering a diverse and engaging annual exhibition program. You'll work closely with artists, community groups, and arts organisations to bring visual arts to life through exhibitions, workshops, and public programs. This is your opportunity to shape the cultural landscape of Kalgoorlie-Boulder and connect the community with inspiring artistic experiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and manage a cost-effective, high-quality annual exhibition calendar.

• Coordinate all aspects of exhibitions including artist liaison, contracts, logistics, and installations.

• Curate and deliver the City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder Art Prize and Junior Art Prize.

• Engage the community through visual arts workshops, talks, and public programs.

• Maintain and conserve the City's art collection, including owned and loaned works.

• Build and maintain partnerships with local, state, and national arts organisations.

• Manage budgets, contracts, and reporting including grant acquittals and post-event evaluations.

What You'll Bring

• A degree in Visual Arts or a related field, or equivalent curatorial experience.

• Strong project management and communication skills.

• Experience in exhibition planning, installation, and community engagement.

• Ability to handle artworks safely and in line with gallery standards.

• A current WA "C" Class driver's licence and National Police Clearance.
