About the role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Draftsman to join our team at Mlakar Fabrication in Rocklea, Queensland. In this full-time, office-based role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality engineering and drafting support for our diverse range of fabrication projects.

What you'll be doing

Producing detailed engineering drawings and designs using CAD software

Collaborating with the production team to ensure designs meet technical specifications and manufacturing requirements

Reviewing and modifying existing designs to improve efficiency and functionality

Conducting engineering calculations and analyses to validate design parameters

Providing technical support and guidance to the production team during the fabrication process

Maintaining accurate records and documentation of all engineering and design work

What we're looking for

Tertiary qualification in Engineering or a related discipline

Proven experience as an engineer or draftsman in a fabrication or manufacturing environment

Proficiency in using CAD software, such as Auto Desk Inventor

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to tackle complex engineering challenges

Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work to tight deadlines

Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams

A passion for innovation and continuous improvement
