APG Workforce is seeking a mature, experienced Accounts Payable Manager to join our client’s team in Pendle Hill!

This is a senior leadership role where you’ll be responsible for managing a team of 10, overseeing high-volume invoice processing (up to 200,000 per year), and maintaining strong relationships with both internal stakeholders and key suppliers. Ideally, you’ll come from a large manufacturing or food production environment, and experience with Basware would be highly regarded (but not essential).

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage end-to-end invoice processing and supplier payments across a group of companies
• Oversee overseas payments and employee expense claims
• Forecast cash requirements and liaise with Treasury on cashflow
• Vendor maintenance and supplier reconciliations
• Ensure timely and accurate month-end processing
• Handle supplier credit applications and bank reconciliations
• Provide leadership, support, and guidance to the AP team
• Maintain and strengthen supplier and stakeholder relationships
• Ensure all processes meet deadlines and compliance standards
• Respond to ad-hoc queries across the business

What You’ll Bring:

• Proven leadership experience in Accounts Payable, managing large teams and high-volume environments
• Background in large manufacturing or food companies
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines
• Hands-on, proactive, and solutions-focused approach
• Experience with Basware (preferred but not essential)
• A positive attitude and lead-by-example style
