Location: Open Cut Gold Mine within Charters Towers, QLD

What we are looking for:

Tertiary qualifications (Bachelor's Degree or equivalent) in Mining Engineering.

Demonstrated ability to work autonomously, take initiative, and problem-solve effectively in a demanding environment.

Essential proficiency in Deswik software; knowledge of Datamine software is highly advantageous.

Proven experience (minimum 2+ years) in open-pit gold mining operations is essential. While not mandatory, additional knowledge of underground operations would be beneficial.

A strong understanding of modern mine scheduling principles, robust safety protocols, and advanced drilling/blasting methodologies.

As a crucial member of the site leadership team, the Mining Engineer will contribute to the strategic and operational success of our open-cut gold mine by:

Mine Planning & Optimisation: Developing and executing daily to monthly production plans, schedules, and pit designs to meet stringent targets.

Drill & Blast Engineering: Designing and optimising drill and blast patterns to ensure efficient ore extraction, fragmentation, and ground control.

Production Monitoring & Analysis: Systematically tracking and analysing operational performance, identifying areas for continuous improvement, and driving cost efficiencies.

Safety & Compliance Leadership: Ensuring all activities adhere to the highest industry safety regulations, environmental standards, and statutory compliance.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Fostering strong working relationships with Geology, Operations, and Maintenance teams to achieve seamless project execution and deliver safe, productive outcomes.
