The role

This is a newly reformed position in our State Youth team, as our State Youth Coordinator - Programs, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and supporting Vinnies youth programs across Queensland. You’ll bring with you your technical skillset in delivering high quality community activities to children and young people, be the driving force behind resource development, internal collaboration, and the promotion of quality assurance and legislative compliance, ensuring our programs align with the Society’s mission, values, and strategic direction.

This role contributes to the Queensland Child Safe Standards and Reportable Conduct Scheme roll-out and the implementation of internal activities that support the compliance of the Society’s Safeguarding commitment to ensure all Vinnie’s Youth Programs comply with the Child Safe legislation. You will also be the steward in driving best practice in our youth programs to enshrine the mission and values of the Society in our everyday operations.

This is a Permanent, Full-time Position (38 hours per week) role based in South Brisbane.

To be successful in the role, you must have:

  • Relevant qualifications preferred covering any of the following fields: Education, human services, social work
  • Experience in the delivery of community events, activities, and programs for children and young people.
  • Experience in the implementation of safeguarding principles and practices
  • Understanding of and commitment to the philosophy of the St Vincent de Paul Society Queensland and an ability to work in accordance with policies and procedures to promote the values and mission of the Society
