AJ Building and Restoration has been established and has had a national presence since 2016 working for and on behalf of Insurance Building companies. AJ Building and Restoration offers stability, security and has a reputation for excellence and a can-do attitude, in providing first response services for Emergency Makesafe services, Restoration, hire and repairs. We are a 24/7 service operating across Australia with Northern Territory the only state/territory we don’t currently cover.

We are now looking to expand our business into Western Australia due to an increase in demand for our services. We are seeking a competent general trade with all round experience to help expand the business in all four areas as listed below:

Day to day responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Emergency make safe services – You will provide quick response to attend to these jobs which will mainly involve damages caused by storms such as roof damage, broken windows, flooding, fire, water damage, house break and car impacts.

Hire- This will involve the transport of hire equipment (pickup and delivery) of Temporary fencing, acro props, portable toilets and other equipment as required.

Repairs – you may be required to carry out and or assist in small repairs including minor carpentry work, plastering, painting and small handyman work.

Restoration – You may be required to assist with transporting remediation, drying and purifying equipment to properties that have been flood effected, to carry out remediation services.

Ideally the successful candidate will posses the following attributes:

ü Be extremely safe conscious

ü Ability to work autonomously

ü Ability to take directions and execute jobs as instructed

ü Possess basic trade skills and able to operate tools and machinery competently and safely

ü Flexibility to work extended hours when required and after hours including some weekend work.

ü Excellent communication skills

ü Ability to work as part of a team

AJs will supply the following:

- Excellent salary plus supa and all full-time entitlements

- Overtime and the ability to earn above basic wages

- Fully maintained Motor Vehicle and Fuel Card

- Restoration Equipment as required

- Uniform and PPE Equipment

- Ongoing Training if required

Qualifications and Experience :

- Recommended but not essential, qualification or experience in roofing and or carpentry.

- Recommended but not essential. Some knowledge and experience in Restoration and mould remediation. (training may be offered to develop your qualifications moving forward)

Required Licenses:

- Driver’s License

- White Card

- Police Check (or ability to obtain one)

- Current WWCC (or ability to obtain one)

- Working at heights ticket (or ability to obtain one)
