As part of their next chapter, they’re looking to recruit a with a technically strong and collaborative Tax Manager.
The Role
Reporting to the Senior Group Tax Manager, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the integrity of the group’s tax-effect accounting, financial reporting and compliance. You’ll take ownership of quarterly tax packs and financial statement disclosures, supporting both local and UK reporting obligations, while working closely with finance teams across the group.
You’ll also support the external audit process and help improve reporting processes and tax-related systems as the group continues to grow and evolve. Key responsibilities include:-
Preparing tax-effect accounting reconciliations and tax notes for financial statements
Delivering quarterly tax reporting packs to the UK parent company
Supporting year-end and half-year statutory audit processes
Producing accurate tax provisions and assisting with cash tax forecasting
Working cross-functionally with finance teams in Brisbane and Sydney
Contributing to process improvement and systems development as needed
This role offers meaningful ownership, variety, and the chance to play a central role in the next phase of the group’s growth.
About You
You’re a CA-qualified tax professional with a solid grounding in financial accounting and tax-effect reporting. You may have started your career in a Big 4 or mid-tier firm (corporate tax, private enterprise, or business services), or you might already be in-house within a complex group.
You’re comfortable owning your deliverables, collaborating across teams, and working to deadlines, especially during year-end peaks. You bring a proactive, accountable mindset and communicate with clarity and confidence. Most importantly, you’ll be someone who fits easily into a close-knit team and contributes positively to the working culture.
Skills & Experience
CA or equivalent qualification
Strong understanding of tax-effect accounting and financial statement disclosures
Experience working with large, multi-entity structures
Familiarity with external audit processes and tax compliance obligations
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
