We are looking for a diligent and career driven tax professional to join our high performing and expanding team. You will be employed on a full-time or part-time basis and will be based in Brisbane (QLD).
As a tax professional within the team, you will focus on your area of expertise, which may include:
Preparation and/or review of tax lodgements including for income tax and GST;
Preparation and/or review of calculations and disclosures in trust distribution statements;
Preparation and/or review of tax balances for statutory financial reporting purposes;
Management of tax and investment structure positions of family offices, ultra-high net wealth individuals, and closely held investment bodies.
Due diligence exercises and transactional support for both buy-side and sell-side and restructure scenarios;
Review and audit or tax governance arrangements;
Liaison with regulatory bodies on various matters including ruling applications, compliance reviews, audits, settlements and other submissions;
Strategic advice on tax and structuring implications relevant to mergers, acquisitions, disposals, refinancings, IPOs and restructures, including review of legal documentation;
Liaison with financiers, legal advisers and other stakeholders relevant to transactions;
Modelling cashflow and tax outcomes from investment structures relevant to proposed transactions;
Advice on inbound and outbound investments including consideration of matters such as thin capitalisation, withholding taxes, tax treaties, TOFA and CGT;
Preparation and/or review of FIRB lodgements/submissions;
Preparation and/or review of information reporting and tax transparency materials;
The successful candidate will have a minimum of 2-3 years of experience as a tax professional. Tertiary qualifications in Accounting and/or Law will be highly regarded. Any desire to complete the Chartered Accountant program (or equivalent) will be supported. Further, the successful candidate should have excellent attention to detail, a solution-based mindset and also have good communication skills.
The salary arrangements for the successful candidates will be between $85,000 and $125,000 (full-time equivalent) plus bonus, and will be agreed depending on their credentials and experience.
