About our Client

Deaf Connect is the largest whole-of-life service provider for Deaf, deafblind and hard of hearing Australians. With a proud history and national footprint, Deaf Connect is entering a period of exciting growth and transformation - strengthening its commitment to bilingual (Auslan-English) service delivery and community-led impact. They pride themselves on fostering a values-led, high-performance culture where every team member contributes to meaningful change.

As part of this journey, Deaf Connect is seeking a transformative and culturally astute leader to join the Senior Leadership Team as General Manager, Therapy & Family Services. This division exists to champion a fundamental shift from a traditional clinical model to a holistic, family-first approach to early childhood development. Specifically, the business is committed to providing an integrated framework of support through speech therapy, occupational therapy, psychology, education, and mentoring. Their purpose is to nurture every child's potential by focusing not only on clinical needs but also on the broader context of their families and communities. By putting families at the heart of our practice, we aim to deliver more impactful, personalised, and sustainable outcomes.

The team - comprised of ~40-50 professionals - is primarily based in Brisbane, with growing presences across other cities. While operations are national, the preferred location for this role is Brisbane, to ensure close alignment with the core team.

About the role

Reporting to the Chief Services Officer, Deaf Connect is seeking a dynamic and visionary General Manager who can lead the strategic direction, growth, and operational excellence of our national portfolio of clinical and family support programs.

In this key leadership position, you will:

· Lead a multidisciplinary team of professionals including speech pathologists, psychologists, occupational therapists, family mentors, and more.

· Drive national service expansion across multiple jurisdictions through innovative program development and robust business cases.

· Ensure excellence in service delivery, compliance with NDIS and ISO standards, and a culture of continuous improvement.

· Strengthen stakeholder partnerships with government departments, funding bodies, education providers, and community organisations.

· Oversee budget planning, resource allocation, and performance metrics to ensure sustainable growth and client satisfaction.

· Work with a collaborative and supportive senior leadership team to identify new funding opportunities and respond to emerging community needs
