As we expand under a bold new Strategic Plan, we’re seeking passionate individuals within the Hobart community to help make real, lasting change. Our Autism Connect Team plays a vital role in delivering expert, evidence-based support to Autistic people, their families, and communities across the country.
About the Role
The Senior Advisor & Facilitator – Autism Connect is a senior member of the Autism Connect service delivery team. Based in Hobart and reporting to a Services Manager or Team Leader, you’ll act as a mentor to other advisors, handle complex queries, and contribute to high-impact projects that shape the quality and reach of our services.
This is a dynamic, people-focused role combining triage, resource development, team support, and training facilitation - perfect for someone looking to deepen their advisor experience in a values-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
Provide evidence-based, respectful information and support to Autistic people and their families via phone, email, and webchat
Lead on-shift triage and technical guidance for other Advisors
Monitor and support call flow and staff availability during shifts
Contribute to team meetings, data reporting, and continuous improvement projects
Oversee resource development and mentor Advisors to ensure quality service delivery
Deliver training to internal teams and external audiences, aligned with Amaze’s strategic priorities
About You
We’re looking for someone who:
Is a clear communicator who listens deeply and supports others with empathy and professionalism
Thrives in a fast-paced environment, managing competing priorities with care and structure
Has strong experience in service delivery, social work, education, or a related field
Is committed to the rights of Autistic people and understands the importance of respectful, inclusive communication
Has excellent IT, CRM (e.g. Salesforce), and data tracking/reporting skills
Ideally brings experience facilitating training and/or working in the not-for-profit sector
Has tertiary qualifications in social work, disability, psychology, teaching or similar professions and/or demonstrated equivalent experience. A Working with Children Check and National Police Check will be required if successful through Amaze.
