What you'll do:
- Maintain accounts payable and receivable functions by processing invoices, receipts, and payments accurately using dedicated financial software such as Zeno and Yardi.
- Support the Accounts Manager in managing daily accounting operations including invoicing, reconciliations, and regular finance reporting across multiple entities within the group.
- Participate actively in audit processes by preparing required documentation and liaising with external auditors to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- Monitor financial risks continuously by identifying discrepancies or issues in consultation with senior finance leaders and resolving them promptly.
- Ensure timely and precise payment of suppliers through established systems while verifying information provided by property managers across various portfolios.
- Manage employee expenditure claims by reconciling accounts efficiently and maintaining up-to-date records for internal review.
- Liaise effectively with service providers such as custodians, external auditors, and accounting support teams to facilitate smooth financial operations.
- Assist in coordinating compliance requirements related to AFSL obligations under the guidance of senior management.
- Contribute proactively to process improvements by collaborating with stakeholders on new initiatives that enhance efficiency within the finance function.
What you bring:
- Demonstrated 1-3 years experience in accounts payable and receivable function or accounting intership.
- Finance Degree with a desire to work towards CPA or CA
- Ability to communicate clearly with both internal teams and external service providers including auditors, custodians, or accounting support professionals.
- A collaborative approach that enables you to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams while sharing knowledge generously with colleagues.
- Commitment to continuous improvement demonstrated through proactive identification of process enhancements or system upgrades.
- Solid organisational skills allowing you to manage competing priorities efficiently without compromising quality or deadlines.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) used for preparing reports or presentations as needed.
