Join Our Team as a Mental Health Support Worker – Community Access Focus

Are you passionate about making a meaningful difference in the lives of others? We are currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated Mental Health Support Worker to assist individuals in accessing their local community and achieving greater independence.

As a key member of our support team, you will work closely with clients living with mental health challenges, helping them engage in everyday activities such as attending appointments, running errands, participating in recreational and social events, and building life skills—all while promoting recovery, dignity, and well-being.

About the role:

To support the participants in home and out in the community.

To know and understand the care and support of the participant

To undertake the tasks detailed in the participants' Care Plan using a person-centered approach and in the least intrusive way

To assists in household duties such as cleaning, laundry, cooking.

To provide personal care and support to participants with a wide range of needs, illnesses and disabilities

To use manual handling equipment safely and correctly

To take responsibility for the safe handling of property and equipment belonging to the participants

To maintain good communication and develop effective working relationships with participants

Job Details:

Qualification Requirement: Cert 3 in Disability / Individual Support

Minimum 1 years' experience supporting clients with mental health conditions (e.g., anxiety, depression)

Skills : Communication, Proactive, Leadership

Pay: Competitive rates based on SCHADS

Expected Hours: Must be available on Wednesdays

Required Licenses/Certifications: Full Driving Licence, Working with Children Check, NDIS Workers Screening, Police Check, First Aid and CPR

Reliable vehicle with comprehensive insurance for community transport duties

Work Authorization: Australia (Required)
