The opportunity

Our client is a community focused federal government agency. They have an exciting opportunity available for an APS5 Graphic Designer to assist in championing creativity and innovation in outcomes across multiple channels.

12-month initial Labour Hire contract with the opportunity to extend. APS5 level role offering $55.24 hourly + Superannuation. To be based out of Geelong.

This is a hybrid position offering 2 days working from home, with the remaining 3 on site. 37.5-hour work weeks.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Designing a wide range of high-quality, clear and accessible collateral that meets the needs of participants and other key stakeholders. This includes producing outcomes that align with Agency branding including hard copy print and digital communications collateral and elements, such as strategies, guidance material, reports, brochures, booklets and icons.
• Fostering creativity and innovation in content creation across a range of channels. This includes but is not limited to social media content and campaign collateral.
• Delivering high quality assets supported by industry grade skills in the Adobe Create Suite and a high level of attention to detail.
• Providing strategic and considered creative advice on communication activities and strategies.
• Contributing towards the regular development, delivery and review of strategic communications content through established internal communication channels.
• Designing, maintaining and improving templates, including Microsoft templates aligning with agency brand guidelines.

About you

• Australian citizenship is a requirement to be eligible for this position
• Highly developed skills in Adobe Creative Suite and MS Office
• Advanced skills in Adobe InDesign
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work on projects with competing priorities and deadlines.
• Working under broad direction, to resolve issues and deliver quality outcomes.
• Establishing and maintain stakeholder relationships both internally and externally.
• Planning and monitoring work processes, ensuring quality assurance practices are met.
• Relevant tertiary qualifications advantageous.
