The Opportunity

Our client is a community focused Federal Government Agency seeking an APS5 Workforce Operations Officer to assist the Agency with administrative and operational support for all recruitment and onboarding activities.

This will be a 12-month initial contract with further extension possible, offering APS5 hourly rates of $55.24 + Super, to be based at our client's Geelong office.

This is a hybrid role and will offer 2 days working from home with 3 on site.

Responsibilities will include:

• Building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders across both Divisions, and relevant recruitment business partners.
• Supporting internal and external APS and Labour Hire recruitment activities through collating Selection Reports, requesting references and coordinating interview schedules.
• Providing high-level administrative support and managing confidential and sensitive information.
• Manage and action onboarding and offboarding activities, including ICT Service Desks requests, building passes, system access, internal and external move forms, and first day emails.
• Monitoring and actioning correspondence through a shared mailbox, assigning and actioning internal work items.

About you:

• Australian Citizenship is mandatory to be eligible to work for this Federal Government Agency.
• Previous experience working in high volume environments and managing multiple priorities at one time.
• Intermediate MS Office Suite skills.
• Previous Australian Public Service experience advantageous.
• Previous experience in recruitment, administration or project officer roles.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
