About the role

Metis Machinery is seeking an experienced Fabricator & Ag Machinery Rebuilder to join our team on a full-time basis in Kingsthorpe, Queensland. As a Fabricator & fitter, you will be responsible for the fabrication, assembly, and installation of a variety of agricultural equipment to the highest standards.

What you'll be doing

Read and interpret drawings and specifications to plan and execute fabrication work

Operate cutting, welding, and other metal fabrication equipment to cut, shape, and assemble or repair metal parts

Strip, repair and re-assemble a wide range of agricultural equipment including rebuilding agricultural gearboxes, hydraulic setups and more

Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during the fabrication/repair/rebuild process

Maintain a safe and organised work environment, adhering to all relevant safety policies and procedures

What we're looking for

Relevant trade qualification in Fabrication or a related field

Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience as a Fabricator or similar, with a proven track record of high-quality work

Strong knowledge of metal fabrication techniques, including welding, cutting, and assembly

Experience in working on farm machinery including hydraulics would be beneficial

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications

Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills

Strong safety awareness and the ability to work in a team environment
