About the role

Ricbuilt Heavy Industries is seeking a skilled Boilermaker to join our team in Mackay, Queensland. This full-time role will involve the fabrication, maintenance and repair of heavy industrial equipment and machinery. As a Boilermaker, you will play a crucial part in supporting our operations and ensuring the reliability of our assets.

What you'll be doing

Interpret and follow technical drawings, blueprints and specifications to fabricate, and assemble aluminium platforms and other metal structures

Perform welding, cutting, and metal forming tasks to the highest standards of quality and safety

Inspect completed work to ensure it meets required specifications and safety standards

Participate in the maintenance, repair and overhaul of existing equipment and machinery

Collaborate with the wider team to identify and implement process improvements

Maintain a clean and organised work environment

Adhere to all workplace health and safety policies and procedures

What we're looking for

Completed technical trade qualification in Boilermaking or equivalent

Minimum 3-5 years' experience as a Boilermaker in a similar heavy industrial environment

Proficiency in MIG and TIG welding techniques across a range of metals

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, plans and specifications

Experience using a variety of hand and power tools common to the trade

Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship

Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills

Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team

Current forklift and elevated work platform licenses would be advantageous

Must have the right to work in Australia

Valid Australian driver's licence

Trade qualification (Certificate III in Engineering - Fabrication Trade or equivalent) with current Australian recognition

Demonstrated experience in aluminium welding and fabrication, particularly for industrial platforms
