Part-Time Management Accountant (Permanent) - Not-for-Profit | Zetland / Hybrid

Salary: $90,000 incl. superannuation

Location: Zetland, Sydney (Hybrid: 50% WFH)

Working Pattern: 3 days/week (Mon-Wed preferred) or flexible 3-5 days

I'm currently partnering with a long-standing not-for-profit client in the musical and performing arts space to recruit a Part-Time Management Accountant on a permanent basis. This is a highly respected arts organisation with a national footprint and a close-knit, values-driven team. Their work has a meaningful impact in communities across Australia. The role reports directly to the Finance Manager, with a dotted line to the CFO.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review monthly cost centre reports, investigate variances, and provide commentary
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning in partnership with stakeholders
• Conduct financial and ad hoc analysis
• Prepare quarterly BAS and FBT returns
• Reconcile revenue between SAGE Intacct and Tessitura
• Produce cash flow and development fund reporting
• Assist with year-end financial reporting and audit preparation
• Manage MVAIS budgeting, forecasting, debtors reporting, and year-end reconciliation
• Liaise with regional and operational teams to ensure accurate accruals and reporting

About You

You're a qualified or highly experienced accountant with strong communication skills and a collaborative working style. You'll be confident working independently and partnering with stakeholders across Australia both in person and via video conferencing. Experience with SAGE Intacct is highly desirable. Advanced Excel skills are essential. Familiarity with Tessitura or previous not-for-profit experience is a bonus.

Please note: This role is not suited to someone aiming to step into a CFO position in the next 3-5 years. It's better suited to someone seeking long-term, meaningful part-time work with flexibility and stability.

Working Arrangements

Core working days are Monday to Wednesday

Flexibility to spread hours across 4-5 days if preferred

Up to 50% remote working (1 day WFH available if working Mon-Wed only)
