Our client, The Bundjalung of Byron Bay Aboriginal Corporation are seeking a skilled Project Officer to join their tight knit team in Byron Bay!

About BOBBAC: Established in 1996, BOBBAC is dedicated to strengthening Aboriginal identity and culture while ensuring that cultural values, customs, and practices remain at the forefront of our mission. We work closely with government agencies, community groups, and business partners to protect and manage the land and waters of traditional Country, benefiting the community through improved housing, health and wellbeing, and training and employment opportunities.
BOBBAC is seeking a motivated Project Officer to drive and manage key projects that benefit the Aboriginal community in the beautiful Byron Bay region. This is a unique Aboriginal Identified role where your experience will play a crucial part in shaping the future of the Bundjalung Nation.
About the Role:
As a Project Officer, you’ll have the opportunity to oversee projects from start to finish, working closely with community members, government agencies, and business partners to achieve meaningful outcomes. Your expertise will ensure projects run smoothly, on time, and within budget, directly contributing to the well-being of the community. This is a chance to make a real impact while working in a flexible, supportive, and culturally vibrant environment.
Key Responsibilities:
· Coordinate all phases of project lifecycles, including planning, budgeting, and reporting.
· Engage with stakeholders to ensure projects meet the community’s needs.
· Implement and monitor projects to ensure alignment with BOBBAC’s mission.
· Manage budgets and resources to maximise project outcomes.
· Report on project progress and deliver high-quality, impactful results.

About You:
· You identify as Aboriginal and have a strong commitment to Aboriginal culture.
· You bring at least 5 years of experience in project management or community development.
· You’re organised, proactive, and have excellent communication skills.
· You have a passion for working in and with Aboriginal communities, and a commitment to making a difference.
· You will have a NSW drivers licence, WWCC and Police Check
