Salary: $85,751 – $90,264 p.a plus super

Our Finance Services team plays a vital role in supporting the City’s operations through accurate and responsive financial management. You’ll be part of a collaborative environment that values innovation, precision, and service excellence.
As the Rates & Receivables Officer, you’ll be at the heart of our financial operations —ensuring property records and accounts are maintained with accuracy, supporting ratepayers with timely service, and helping drive improvements in how we manage receivables across the City.
What You’ll Do
- Maintain the City’s Property and Rates records with accuracy and timeliness
- Manage Accounts Receivable functions including waste management, fines, leases, and sundry debtors
- Process customer invoicing and rating queries with a high level of service
- Liaise with ratepayers, settlement agents, and external bodies regarding accounts and concessions
- Support debt recovery processes including legal referrals and pensioner rebates
- Assist with data integrity checks, valuation adjustments, and bin service records
About You
We’re looking for someone who is detail-oriented, customer-focused, and confident working with financial systems. You’ll ideally bring:
- Experience with Local Government Property Rating systems.
- Experience in a computerised work environment
- Strong MS Office skills, especially Excel
- Good understanding of rating systems and financial concepts
- Excellent communication and analytical skills
