About the Role
An exciting opportunity is available for a motivated and detail-oriented Investigation Officer to join a dynamic regulatory and policy team focused on improving outcomes across early childhood education, home education, and non-government school sectors.
In this role, you will be responsible for assessing and investigating complaints and notifications under various education and child safety laws. The role supports high standards in education and care services through strong compliance, professional judgement, and effective stakeholder engagement.
Flexible work arrangements are available, including the option to work from home several days per week.
Key Responsibilities
Receive, assess, and investigate complaints and concerns under relevant education and child protection legislation.
Interview stakeholders, draft witness statements, and gather evidence in line with investigation protocols.
Maintain accurate documentation and records in accordance with relevant policies and procedures.
Provide comprehensive reports with clear recommendations for case management and compliance action.
Deliver timely and professional communication to a wide range of stakeholders.
Support the review and development of internal policies and procedures.
Contribute to a collaborative, ethical, and high-performing team culture.
What You’ll Bring
Technical Capabilities:
Strong knowledge of education and care regulatory frameworks and relevant legislation.
Demonstrated experience in investigations, compliance, or monitoring within a regulatory environment.
Excellent written skills, including report writing, decision-making documentation, and formal correspondence.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and high caseloads.
Confidence in using technology and the ability to adapt to new systems quickly.

Qualifications and Requirements
Certificate IV or Diploma in Government Investigations (desirable).
A current driver’s license.
Eligibility for Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) registration, or willingness to obtain prior to commencement.
