About Us:
At Ship & Sail, we’re Gladstone’s one-stop shop for all things boating. From our waterfront location at the Gladstone Marina, we offer boat sales, servicing, chandlery, dry boat storage, and even marine finance. We’re proud to stock and support big names like Quintrex, Mercury, and more.
We’re growing — and now we’re looking for an experienced Scheduler to help keep our busy service department organised, efficient, and customer-focused.
What You’ll Love:
Full-time, permanent role (38 hours/week)

Be the central hub that keeps our service operations smooth and stress-free
Your Day-to-Day:
📅 Schedule service jobs and coordinate workflow for marine technicians
📞 Communicate with customers to confirm bookings, timelines, and updates
🛥 Liaise with technicians and the chandlery team to ensure parts and resources are available
📂 Maintain job records and update our system with job statuses and details
⏱ Monitor job progress and adjust the schedule as needed to meet deadlines
👥 Provide top-notch customer service both over the phone and in person
🧾 Assist with administrative tasks like invoicing, ordering, and stock control
You’ll Be Great At This If You:
Have experience in scheduling, service coordination, (marine or mechanical industries a bonus!)
Are confident using ServiceM8 to manage bookings and workflow
Communicate clearly and professionally with customers and internal teams
Are highly organised with strong attention to detail
Work well under pressure and can shift gears when plans change
Love solving problems and keeping things moving
Extra Points For:
🔧 Understanding of marine servicing or mechanical repairs
🎣 A personal love of boating, fishing, or the water lifestyle
📊 Previous experience managing parts orders or job tracking systems
