As a Senior Procurement Officer, you will be part of the Procurement Services Group that provides a centre led procurement function to the Queensland Police Service.
As part of the ICT & Infrastructure team, General Goods & Services team and Governance team, you will be working as part of a small team that administers that undertaking of strategic procurement projects and contract management activities relating to high value/high risk procurement activities for the Queensland Police Service.
The core capability requirements for this role are:
• Manage strategic procurement projects in collaboration with key stakeholders, ensuring that risk, probity and transparency requirements are addressed.
• Deliver high quality procurement advice and services covering procurement planning activities, sourcing documentation development, release and evaluation processes, contract negotiation, contract management including sound Category Management functions and administration activities.
• Monitor and advise on financial, contract management and procurement systems compliance, in accordance with QPS policies and procedures and the State Procurement Policy.
• Administer contracts in collaboration with Contract Managers in accordance with the principles of the Queensland Government Contract Management Framework.
• Negotiate and consult with internal and external stakeholders regarding procurement and contract related issues to identify specific business needs and to facilitate compliance within the required timeframes.
Role Requirements:
Qualification -
• Highly desirable Queensland Government Level 3 Procurement Certification or equivalent.
Technical/ Operational/ Educational experience -
• Experience in SAP.
• Knowledge of Supply Chain Methodology.
