About the role

Bentley excavations is seeking an all-rounder skilled mechanically minded individual. Who is able to work by themselves showing initiative, work as a team and aid us in continuing to build the smooth operation and maintenance of our growing company.

What you'll be doing

Safely operating a range of construction equipment such as excavators, loaders, and trommels as well as driving trucks to complete a variety of tasks on site

Carrying out routine maintenance and servicing of plant and machinery to ensure optimal performance and longevity

Adhering to all relevant safety standards and regulations to maintain a safe work environment

Collaborating with the wider construction team to coordinate the efficient use of plant and equipment

Proactively identifying and reporting any issues or concerns with the machinery

Maintaining accurate records of plant usage, maintenance, and repairs

What we're looking for

Experience as a plant operator in the construction industry.

Relevant qualifications and licenses, such as a High-Risk Work Licence, Excavator Licence, and/or Forklift Licence or willingness to obtain

Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to troubleshoot and carry out basic maintenance on plant and equipment

Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to workplace safety

Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team

Good communication and problem-solving skills

Have at a minimum a HC truck license and experience floating gear
