About the role

We are seeking experienced Earthmoving Plant Operators to join our team at Bajara Plant Hire Pty Ltd to work on multiple projects throughout Brisbane, QLD. In this essential role, you will operate select earthmoving machinery to support our major construction projects across the region.

We are also seeking skilled operators for some of our top tier clients throughout Greater Brisbane. These projects require skilled GPS expertise along with a great attitude.

Proficient in Trimble GPS machine control systems with minimum 2 years' hands-on experience

What you'll be doing

Safely operate and maintain earthmoving equipment such as excavators, dozers, graders and front-end loaders

Carry out pre-start checks and basic maintenance on assigned machinery

Communicate effectively with the site foreman and other construction workers to complete tasks efficiently

Adhere to all safety regulations and site procedures

Assist with loading and unloading of plant equipment as required

What we're looking for

Proven experience as an earthmoving plant operator, preferably in a civil construction setting

Minimum 3 years' experience as an earthmoving plant operator, with at least 2 years in civil construction

Formal qualifications (RII Tickets) in operating relevant earthmoving equipment, such as an RII Excavator, RII Dozer, RII Loader, RII Articulated Dump Truck, RII Articulated Water Cart.

Understanding of construction site safety procedures and a commitment to workplace health and safety

Strong communication and teamwork skills to work effectively with others on site

Reliability and a can-do attitude to get the job done

Current Construction White Card and valid Australian driver's licence (HC licence would be a bonus)

Must have permanent Australian work rights or appropriate visa to work in Queensland
