LiveLocates is growing and an opportunity exists for an experienced and certified CERTLOC Accredited utility locator to join our team to service our new area of operations in Western Sydney.

As a direct supplier to a wide range of government departments as well as supporting a full range of small, medium and large construction, electrical, civil, plumbing and geotechnical business’ that work within our servicing regions, we are able to offer a variety of projects for suitably qualified and experienced locators to enhance and develop their skills in what is arguably an important service industry, critical to keeping excavation sites safe for our clients, their customers and the general public.

We offer a range of services in our industry including:

Underground utility locating using both radio detection and GPR.

Vacuum Excavation to safely prove located assets or assist our customers with their various non-destructive excavation project requirements.

Detailed and accurate GPS survey reporting of located assets or any other attribute the customer nominates.

Specialised concrete scanning.

Water leak detection.

To join our team, we are seeking a local Western Sydney based individual who can demonstrate the following:

Underground asset/utility locating experience with CERTLOC Accreditation. Alternatively, we will also consider suitable applicants with strong experience working in and around underground utilities and that are familiar with work undertaken by utility locators.

Potholing and Vacuum Excavation labouring experience.

Experience with concrete scanners, water leak detection equipment and/or GPS equipment (desirable but not essential).

A willingness to work hard and to have the care factor. This means that you take pride in and responsibility for your work and expect the best from yourself and those who support you.

Intermediate computer skills.

Preparedness to travel throughout the newly created local service area of Western Sydney but then further beyond to Greater Sydney and surrounding regions when requested by our repeat and new clients to meet their project requirements.

Available for weekday and the occasional evening and weekend work.

Flexibility - sometimes job information and requirements change at the last minute. You will need to be contactable and able to work with the team on changes and propose solutions when presented with a number of priorities.

You strongly recognise that the equipment and vehicle in your care needs to be clean and well cared for, so you have the tools and resources to do your job to the highest standard. You will mobilise daily from home and the vehicle will be in your care 24/7. A secure parking area for the vehicle and equipment is essential.

Self-motivation and organisation are critical to be able to fulfill this role successfully. Whilst all jobs are scheduled through the main office, you will often be liaising directly with clients either on site, prior to or after, to ensure you are fulfilling their job requirements. This can include adjusting the services performed and times on site as needed.

Excellent communication skills are required as you will be working independently daily whilst completing your site work but still with a supportive team behind you that is ready to assist you to provide the highest quality service to our clients.

You must be physically fit to undertake the site requirements of the role.
