Swan Hill Rural City Council is hiring skilled, reliable team members to help maintain our roads and infrastructure. If you're hands on, safety focussed, and ready to work with heavy machinery, we want you on board to join our Road Construction team!
What you will be doing
- Maintaining sealed and unsealed roads and signage
- Operating and maintaining heavy plant and machinery
- Perform labour-intensive tasks safely and efficiently
- Deliver great service and keep defect logs updated
What we are looking for
- Proven experience in general road maintenance and civil construction work.
- Strong teamwork abilities with effective self-management skills.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks and environments.
- A commitment to safe, productive work practices at all times.
- Mandatory Licence: A current Heavy Rigid (HR) licence.
- Preferred Licence:A Front-End Loader licence is desirable.
- Mandatory Requirement:A current National Police Check (issued within the last six months) must be provided before employment can commence.

- Permanent Full Time
- Approximately $1,344 per week plus 15% super (as of 1 August 2025)
- 9-day fortnight (38-hour week)
