Are you a practical Electrical Engineer ready to take the lead on real-world delivery? This is a unique opportunity to join a major infrastructure delivery business in a hands-on role that starts with commissioning and grows into a wider role.

With a strong pipeline of high-voltage projects across Victoria, this company is looking for an engineer who can step onto site, take ownership of the commissioning process, and eventually transition into a broader role supporting electrical delivery, project control, and engineering leadership.

You'll play a key role in delivering electrical systems across major infrastructure projects, working across design review, compliance, site coordination, and project delivery.0 This role is ideal for someone who can work closely with both design and construction teams to ensure technical standards are met and projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.

The Role:

• Lead initial hands-on commissioning and testing of HV electrical systems
• Review and interpret single-line diagrams, lightning protection calculations, and technical drawings
• Provide guidance, training, and mentorship to junior engineering staff to support their technical development and ensure high-quality project outcomes
• Work closely with design teams to ensure constructability and real-world functionality
• Take ownership of the electrical scope, especially during the finishing phase of projects
• Engage with asset and modelling teams to ensure seamless integration (no modelling required)
• Replace or manage existing systems (e.g. Siemens), and provide engineering support across the site

Requirements:

• Degree-qualified Electrical Engineer or similar
• Previous experience in HV infrastructure
• Proven commissioning and site delivery capability
• Experience working in contracting environments, ideally with finishing experience
